Cheryl, nanny - EH8 Edinburgh

My name is Cheryl , I am a happy, fun and outgoing person who has always enjoyed working with children. I am a reliable, hardworking individual and really enjoy planning stimulating activities to help children develop to their full potential. I believe that every child has their own individual needs and interests which I will ensure to taking into consideration when working with them and ensure my practice meets their needs and is appealing to their interest.
For the past two years I have been working towards gaining both my NC and HNC in Early Education and childcare. I gained my NC in 2013 and have just received my qualification for my HNC this June.
During my two years of study I was placed in a private nursery setting within the baby room working with children aged between 6 to roughly 18 months, two preschool nursery settings working with children aged between 3 to 5 years old and a primary school setting working with children aged 5 and a half to six. During each placement I feel I gained a variety of experience, skills and qualities that I can take and develop to fit any childcare setting. My time in each placement was extremely enjoyable and only strengthened my want to work with and help to encourage the development and learning of children.
I have also had much experience working with children outside of my college placements including babysitting work, tutoring and teaching at my dance school.
