Kim, nanny - OL1 Oldham

I am a very passionate and caring person. I am very professional, well mannered and organised. I have recently completed my BA(hons) in Social Work Studies. Prior to my studies I worked with vulnerable adolescents in a residential setting for 5 years. Within this setting I completed direct work with young people to meet and address their basic needs, and risks and concerns in order to advise, support and maintain the safety of the young people within my care. Prior to this I worked in a private nursery where I worked my way up professionally from nursery assistant to nursery officer in charge. I obtained my NVQ2 and NVQ3 in childcare and education as well as my cache certificates. I would plan and implement activities for children which would support each area of child development. I would meet their basic needs and develop positive relationships with all children within my care along with their parents/ carers.
More recently I have provided child care for 18 month old twins within my family from birth. I have provided care and support during the day and also completed waking nights in order to provide support and respite for parents.

My hobbies include salsa and zumba. I enjoy art and crafts, listening to music and watching films. I am grade 7 on the piano which I used to play regularly at church and I am a 2nd dan in karate which I practised for 14 years. This provided me with confidence and encouraged further respect and discipline.
