Stefanie, looking for a nanny - FK17 Callander

I am looking for a reliable, caring and experienced person to look after my baby in our home in Callander on a regular, long-term basis while I am working from home.

The hours I am currently looking for are: 21–25 hours per week.

I am ideally looking for one consistent person who can build a good relationship with my son and become familiar with his normal routine, rather than different carers on different days.

My son is still very young and has severe eczema, so I am particularly looking for someone who is confident and attentive when caring for babies. His eczema means that he needs closer supervision than many babies because he can scratch his skin very quickly, sometimes causing it to become sore or broken. He therefore needs someone who is comfortable keeping a close eye on him and gently redirecting or preventing scratching when necessary.

He also has an established skincare routine. I would explain and demonstrate everything clearly, and I would not expect someone to know his routine beforehand. The most important things for me are that the person is willing to learn, follows instructions carefully and is comfortable helping with his skincare when required.

General care would include playing and interacting with him, feeding, changing nappies, settling him for naps, keeping him safe and comfortable, taking him for walks or doing age-appropriate activities, and following his usual daily routine.

Because I will normally be working from home, I will be nearby if something unusual happens or if help is needed, particularly while the person is getting to know him and his care routine. However, I need someone who can take responsibility for his care during the agreed hours so that I can concentrate on work.

Experience caring for babies is very important to me. Experience with eczema, sensitive skin, allergies or children with additional care needs would be a bonus, but it is not essential if you are patient, attentive and willing to learn his routine.

I would particularly value someone who is dependable, calm, affectionate and confident with babies. Paediatric first aid, a PVG/background check and childcare references would also be highly desirable.

This is intended to be a regular arrangement rather than occasional babysitting, and I would love to find someone who could become a familiar and trusted person in my son's life.
