Presentation

Hi there,

We have just moved to the area and are currently looking to find a lovely nanny to help us out with our two boys. We've never considered a nanny before as we have used the same private nursery for a number of years but having moved away from that area, we'd now like to look into whether a nanny would suit our needs a little better. Here's an idea of what we are looking for.

Finlay, who is 4 in a few weeks will be finishing his current private nursery placement in East Kilbride on Friday 30th June but we have a family holiday booked from 1st July to 8th July so would only require childcare from Tuesday 11th July. He currently goes to nursery 4 days a week (7.30am - 17.30pm). I have enrolled him at the local school nursery (Wester Overton) for his last year of pre-school nursery care but we are awaiting a response as to whether he has a place or not and what sessions he will be attending. I have applied for Wednesday afternoon (1pm-3.45pm) and full day Thursday and Friday (9am-3.45pm I think). Assuming we are offered these sessions, Finlay would still require care from 7.30am Tuesday to Friday, with a drop-off at nursery, pick-up from nursery in the afternoon and continued childcare until up to 6pm. I should return home between 5.30pm and 6pm as I work in Glasgow City centre.

Lewis, who is 6, will be attending the local school (Wester Overton) from August and over the summer he'll be going to a variety of summer clubs, staying with grandparents or on family holiday, so he's a little more ad hoc until the start of the new school term in August 2017. The times we require childcare for Lewis over the summer holiday is when he is attending the local Summer holiday ran through the out of school care. We'd need childcare from 7.30am with a drop-off for 8am at Wester Overton Primary and possibly a pick-up for 5pm depending on the summer program for the holiday club...sometime they are not finished until 5.30/6 so I'd manage pick-up if this was the case. Out of the 7 weeks summer holidays, Lewis will be at the summer club around 2.5-3 weeks of it.

Until the summer holiday, Lewis will remain at his current childcare of breakfast club and afterschool club in East Kilbride until the end of this term in June, as he wanted to finish out his school year there and I will drop-off and pick him up from there around 5/5.30pm and then I'll return to Strathaven.

In August, during the school term, we currently have a place at breakfast and afterschool club on a Friday, so he wouldn't require care on that day or on Mondays. I'd drop hime off and pick him up from the out of school care on the Friday. For Tuesday to Thursday, we'd be looking for early morning care from 7.30am onwards with a school drop-off at Wester Overton, a pick-up from school at 3pm and continued care until around 6pm.

In addition to the schedule information above, I'd like to think our boys are lovely and well behaved (perhaps I'm biased), with the occasional sibling fall out, but nothing ever serious. They are both good eaters with no special dietary requirements or additional educational needs. They love being outdoors and exploring, constructing things, as most boys do but are also happy to have quiet time and sit with a story or play games.

Both myself and my husband work, my husband is full time and I work 4 days a week. I leave the house around 7am but my husband will be there until around 7.30am.

We currently have 3 family holidays (1 week per holiday) booked for July, August where we would not require childcare and I should be able to cover some of the Christmas break too. This can all be discussed further at a later time.

Thank you.
