Paul & Gemma, looking for a nanny in Shrub end CO2 for the 14 August 2017

We need a caring, happy, flexible if possible childminder to take care of our lovely children. We have a 4 year old boy who will be starting at Gosbecks School in September and a beautiful, cheeky 16 month old girl.

We are looking for someone who would be able to start at around 0730hours in the morning and go through until around 1700hours. we would also need someone who is happy to drop our little boy off at school and pick him up. At the moment, the days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Our little boy had a childminder when we lived in Kent who taught him so much so we would ideally be looking for someone who would be able to teach our little girl to give her the same start he had. It has helped him no end. A nice mixture of learning and playing. Or both at the same time, whatever your style.

We would love to see them with someone who loves their job, likes to have fun and really cares. While we're not adverse to discipline being instilled and lessons learnt, we don't really want the stereotypical, stern headmistress. Had one of them at school and it was no fun for anyone involved.

We would love to be with someone who likes to get them out and about, learning new things and enjoying their childhood. I know that's our job but would like to see someone carry it on while we're out working.

We both have jobs that require some changes to our shifts at times, so if you are flexible a little then that would be a massive help.

Our children: Our little boy has turned out so well (we are biased yes). He has good speech, is learning well and after a slow start, finding his confidence. He has a great sense of humour, loves to ask questions and loves a good mixture of playing cars indoors and enjoying parks, zoos and the outdoors.

Our little girl has learnt to walk and climb and uses them in tandem to alarming effect. Someone with a few pairs of eyes would do very well with her. She is great at emptying cupboards and is into everything. At the moment she knows how to say 'ta' and blows a fantastic raspberry. She is cheeky but has the most adorable smile.

Us: The general is 36 I am 39 (never to turn 40). We have a very laid back, can do attitude with the ability to get round problems as and when they arise. In other words, if you work with us we will work with you. You'll find us friendly (I hope), reliable (as we hope you are) and won't be chasing us for payment or anything else for that matter.

Hopefully, we haven't come across as too demanding, but they are our children and we only want the best for them. We don't really want to be nurturing the next generation of Cannabis smoking hood rat.
