Hello, my name is Jessica and I am 20 years old. I am an out-going, caring and most of all friendly person. I believe that I have always wanted to work closely with children from a young age.
I currently live in Birmingham, UK with my parents and younger sister who is 12 years old. I also have a cat, so therefore I would be willing to work within any households that may have pets.
I am looking for any full time work with children from the ages of 6 months to 6 years.
I studied Child Development at secondary school and from this maintained a C grade. After leaving secondary school, I attended college in which I studied CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education. I achieved a C grade in this.
During my time at college, I worked within 3 childcare settings. A nursery, a pre-school and a primary school so therefore I have a wise understanding of the different age ranges and abilities of children.
I have a First Aid qualification.
I volunteered at a primary school for 1 year from 2013-2014.
I currently work as a lunchtime supervisor in a primary school.
I understand and am able to organize play activities for all age ranges of children as this was part of my college studies, and because I have a younger sister. Games that I have organized for children included 'Grandmothers footsteps', 'What's the time Mr Woolf?' and activities involving equipment such as skipping ropes.
I enjoy reading to children, and did this on a one-to-one and on a group basis whilst volunteering.
I believe that I am a very caring and considerate child carer, who will have the child's needs and best interests at heart.
