To whom it may concern,
I am enquiring about any vacancies you may have concerning working with children. I feel that I have the relevant skills and experience required to meet the demands of such a highly thought of care.
My involvement with children started at a very young age as both my parents are foster carers. My home has always been full of children from various backgrounds and family circumstances. I have always enjoyed interacting and helping them to deal with the trauma of family breakup, to adjust and understand that they are loved and cared for. To gain additional experience outside the home I worked at sunrise day nursery before my employment at busy bodies. I feel that the skills I have learnt will help me do an excellent job at your school,
• Highly skilled in supervising and monitoring the safety of children
• Planning activities which stretch and enhance the children’s imagination
• Support children with their reading and writing skills
• Cooking with children, encouraging them to weigh and measure ingredients and follow recipes.
• Teaching children to be independent gaining skills for the future
• Encourage children to ask questions and investigate answers.
My role at busy bodies has also given me the experience in record keeping and interacting with parents. I have also gained valuable experience in my voluntary work in helping out in year one and year four classroom situation. It gives me a clear indication on the development and needs of the young in their daily school routine also, I would like to think from my work and experience as a play worker, I help the young people achieve the five outcomes, for them to reach their full potential and be the best that they can be.
I know that your school runs a successful and safe environment and I believe I would be able to meet your high standards. I am an extremely hard working, punctual and loyal worker who gets along well with my co-workers. My social and friendly nature means I am able to connect well with children of all ages and abilities.
I have completed my level 2 in play work and I will be starting my teaching assistant course in September which I am really looking forward too.
The hours that I would be able to work are 9:15am until 2:30am 5 days a week term time only (happy to work straight through this would fit in with my before and after school job at Boldmere junior school which I really enjoy).
Hope to hear from you soon if these hours could be what you are looking for,
Yours Faithfully, Annalise .
