Abigail, nanny - BA22 Odcombe

Hi :)
My name is Abi, I am 20 and currently working at Lush (Bristol). I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual. Being approachable and flexible is a main priority of mine, in any aspect of life. Due to my current job, I am good at reading people's emotions making me, fun, fair and understanding.
I volunteered at a Preparatory school in Kent, this involved afternoon activity sessions led by a group of students my age; interacting and managing children from the ages of three to nine. managing activities such as arts and crafts, sports clubs, dance and ushering the girls to dinner at the dining hall, as well as making sure they got home safely.
After completing my Duke of Edinborough Award, I chose to volunteer at a special needs school in the town centre of Tonbridge, alongside babysitting for local families. This job was both fulfilling and eye-opening. The students that attended ranged from eleven to eighteen; teaching me how to further my interaction skills, not only with the students but also with parents and family. Activities varied from art, food tech, sport and occasional outgoings. This experience gave me the ability to understand children, how to be fair and manage time accurately through timetabled activities.
I cook, I drive and I am definitely ready to start a professional career in childcare, to work hard and give 100%. :)
