Melanie, nanny in Barnsley

I have been a Teaching Assistant for the last 12 years in a junior school in Sheffield. I actually reside in Barnsley and due to change in circumstances , I now need to find employment closer to home. I am so passionate about my work an have acquired many skills and responsibilities throughout the last decade. I run a successful speech and language programme every afternoon, supporting many children with special educational needs. I support children with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD and learning difficulties. I have been trained to support children with Dyslexia. I also currently support a child with Diabetes, administering insulin when required. I have brought some of my own interests into school, forming a very successful school choir. This following my other passion , singing , as I am part of a female duo. I also run the school disco , which makes me very popular with all year groups, giving up my lunchtimes unpaid. I feel I bring lots of quality attributes to the children I work with and believe every child matters. I give confidence, praise and compassion to the children I work with every day. I have also raised 3 children of my own, who are now all in there twenties. I also have a passion for cooking and enjoy trying new recipes. I feel this could now be the right path for me to take. I have a lot to give and would love to make a difference to many more children.
