Dear Parents,
If you are looking for a creative, fun and responsible nanny/babysitter then look no further!
My name is Verity Jayne, I have just graduated this summer from Bath Spa University. After finishing my role as a teacher and Activity Leader at Downside Abbey boarding school at the end of July, I will be looking to use my teaching skills and creativity to become an inspirational babysitter/nanny permanently from September.
I currently have six years of babysitting experience in my hometown of Cornwall, looking after children aged six months to twelve years. I have recently started undertaking training to teach bushcraft, outdoor education and educational activities within nature.
I am a keen chef and I love to cook organic, wholesome homemade food. I also love arts and crafts, I think it is very important to engage with children through art and music. Teaching drama, art and cooking with children this summer has been a very fulfilling experience and has made me realise that I would love to work with children.
I am a very neat and tidy person, and I would love to help a family this summer who is looking for someone to do a bit of everything! I do not currently have a driving license, though I am taking lessons, therefore I would like to work with a family within 5 miles of the city centre. I am DBS checked, first aid trained, fire safety trained and I am excellent swimmer as my hobbies include surfing and kayaking. I am currently completely flexible apart from very early mornings as I need to travel by public transport if out of centre.
