My name is Federica ' and I am an Italian, and I just finished my University experience, both in England (where I graduated in Developmental Sciences - MSc) and in Italy (where I graduated in History and Philosophy - MSc).
I have extensive experience of working as a Nanny, Mother's Help and Au pair job in UK (with checkable references) with private tutoring experience in my home country with students of both primary and secondary schools.
I am flexible about shifts, punctual, clean and tidy. I have worked in the support/help/care field for some time.. I have made of supporting people my professional duty during my part time jobs in University, and I believe I have managed to develop different skills, such as patience, enthusiasm and enrichment from my professional experience. My desire is to make the ability to help the others and make them feeling alright about the world and - most important - about themselves, my profession. Hard working doesn't scare me, I am rather flexible to be a team worker or a solitary worker. I am capable of decision making, and planning activities or timetables. I have developed, throughout the years, the constant ability to resolve practical problems, and to cheer my colleagues if tired or feeling unsupported. My job is never something that is done just for living, is a full time activity that requires good character and patience. Throughout my University experience, I have always worked with kids, since my interest has always been to understand how children learn and acquire knowledge of the world through everyday experience. I have worked as a private tutor, for kids from Primary, Secondary and also High Schools, in Humanities and English language back in my hometown, and gained much experience in helping them to build a successful method for studying and approaching the scholastic and academic adventure in the most appropriate way, both with interactive methods and traditional one-to-one lessons. I volunteered in Summer groups with more than one kids under my supervision, which allowed me to learn how to manage and have more than one pupil who needs my support. It was very challenging, but at the same time very exciting. Acknowledging all the improvements my students gained over the time we worked together was by all means the best result I could ever achieve. My commitment will be complete to a profession that I cherish above any other. Working with kids allows me to nurture my passion for Developmental Psychology and Child Psychology, together with giving me the chance to use all the knowledge I gained through these three degrees' years. I had an astounding chance to live, learn and work in a Babylab for six months (January to June 2011) at Birkbeck College, in order to build and run a psychological research study on children around 1 year of life to test their ability to understand choices and preferences while observing some indirect actions performed by others. It was a brilliant experience, which allowed me to practically learn how a lab works and runs its experiments, and to work with very young kids in a professional situation. These experiences, different in their substance but all together under the general label of "work with children" have made me understanding how much I like working with kids and how much I desire make this liking my profession, giving in exchange my whole commitment, a serious professional approach and all those abilities that it was possible for me to collect throughout these last six years.
