Katie, nanny in Bruton

Hi there, I'm Katie.

I've been living in a small town of Somerset located 25 minutes of Yeovil for 25 years. I grew up on a farm so do love to be outdoors. I also love to read, cook, bake, travel and live life to the full and have fun. I have no children of my own (just my baby cats!) and I have held a clean drivers licence for 8 years.

I firstly started off my childcare career from the age of 15, looking after my younger siblings, cousins and neighbors. Doing this more often made me realise that this was what I wanted to do, so after completing my AS levels, I then went on to College and received my Level 3 award in Childcare and Education. I have since then Nannied for a family, looking after their 2, 4 and 7 year old as well as cooking an evening meal and daily household chores. When the time came that the family needed me less and less, I went into working in Nursery's where I gained valuable experience working with babies from 4 months old to children the age of 4. I worked my way up to a senior member of staff to a room leader. I also had a lot of experience working with SEN children, which led to to my current position of employment in a small school working 1:1 with a child who struggles with school life. However, the School is a good distance from home, so I am now seeking work more locally, so I'm offering my services to a lovely family near by.
