My name is Jemma. I am 21 years old and I currently work at Willow Cottage Nursing Home. I have always wanted to work with babies and young children either in a home or educational setting. I feel my qualities will benefit me and the baby/child I will be looking after as I am fun, kind, caring, confident, fair and reliable. I work voluntarily at a after school Ballet group with children aged 2 to 14 and I love every minute. I find children such a joy to be around. I would love to be given the chance as I feel that I am excellent with children and find they are such a pleasure to be around. I have lots of experience with children, as I have volunteered in local nurseries, at my ballet class. I help people in my church with their little ones. I have younger siblings which I get a lot of practise looking after them.

I am Jemma's Line Manager (Registered Nurse) when on duty. Her primary role whilst working at Willow Cottage Nursing Home in Yate (a 34 bed Nursing Home for The Elderly) is as a housekeeper. She has worked here since 1st December 2015. She is extremely efficient in this role, organising her work efficiently and is very thorough - never cutting corners! Her secondary role is as a source of social interaction with our residents, nearly all of which are physically rather than mentally impaired. She is very popular with all the residents and generally brightens their days - even if she is cleaning their rooms at the same time. I am very aware that Jemma has always wished to work with children rather than the elderly and I know that she is actively involved with several groups working with children within her local church. Jemma has some genuine health issues (Which are by no means self-inflicted) and has required some time off for medical appointments during her time with us but her attendance record is otherwise excellent. I would recommend Jemma to you. She would be an excellent addition to your team.
