Christina, nanny - BT47 Londonderry

My name is Christina. I currently have my level 3 childcare diploma learning and development. I will be doing my extend year in September 2017. I have a years experience as I've had to understate placement while studying. I helped with the care, education and development of the children in my care. Central to this role was the need to provide a safe environment for the children. I had to help make sure that the children had the chance to take part in stimulating activities, appropriate for their age.
From this experience, I was able to demonstrate competence in many different areas including:

• Observing and monitoring childrens play activities.
• Instructing children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting and toilet habits.
• Sanitizing toys and play equipment.
• Disciplining children and recommend ing or initiating measures to control behaviour.
• Organising and storing toys and materials in activity areas.
