Georgia, nanny in Calverley

Hi my name is Georgia, I am 24 years old, single and love my job! I am educated to a good standard, taking O and A levels and achieving passes in English, History, Geography, Art and Social Studies. I progressed to Leeds Met where I commenced a course in Early Learning. I knew that I really wanted to work with children and volunteered to work at day nursery to gain experience. From this I realised that I wanted to learn my trade through working and learning and to this end began a series of NVQ courses of which I now have Level 3 and I am studying for my management level.

I have experience with all age groups and enjoy helping the children with their social and creative skills . I have attended Forest School and believe that children learn so much from nature and being out in the fresh air. We plant seeds and watch them grow with the children watering them which gives them great pleasure in seeing nature in action.

I relate well with parents, in fact some of the parents have now become firm friends due to the bonds we have built up.

I am enthusiastic, level headed, calm and believe in helping my children have fun and educational days when they are in my care. For example I take my children to the library, allow them to have their own library card and bring home books to read. They love the experience of choosing the books and the responsibility of looking after and caring for them.

We also have plenty of creative days, painting, making cards for birthdays and special days. Creating mementos for their parents. Baking and being in the kitchen, washing up and taking home their produce for parents. Making mud pies is a special favourite!
