A little about myself,
I'm Becky, 22, country bumpkin in Carmarthen.
Caring for children is what I LOVE doing. I recently spent 5 months in Australia as an au pair for 2 girls aged 2 and 4.
For me, child development is key and although I was there for only 5 months, I still saw the children grow. I taught them some Welsh, how to write their names, potty trained the youngest, taught the oldest how to swim with no arm bands and more importantly made sure I was taking them to playgroups so they could interact with other children and get stuck in with activities that they were doing.
As well as being an au pair, I was doing casual babysitting jobs for family friends from the ages of 6 months to 14 years of age.
Although I have no formal qualifications of childcare, I've been babysitting for families for years.
