Lauren, nanny - CH5 Hawarden

I would like to apply for this position as I have so much experience within working in the caring for children environment. I have a passion for caring for children and feel that I want to continue to pursue this. I have a fun, outgoing, creative side to me that I feel is very important when working with children and a very wide imagination.
One special achievement of mine that I would like to share with you Is each year i do fundraising and charity events for Alder Hey Children’s charity as it’s so close and special to our hearts as my sister spent a lot of time their suffering with cancer- I love organising them and something about it gives me so much pride and happiness knowing what I have done. I have organised family fun days, charity Christmas fairs, collections outside shops. I feel organising is a big part of me and when it’s going to such a good cause I feel like it makes it so much greater!
I have rang round companies and organisations explaining what we are doing and why we are doing , asking them what they could give, I have done collections with buckets outside shops asking people for spare change for this amazing cause. I am very motivated and enjoy completing tasks and challenges to the best of my ability. I have good communication skills and I’m a great team player but also Work very well using my own initiate. I am very creative and love thinking of new ideas for exciting things!
Although I have spent my past few years working in a private day nursery, I am looking to continue working with children, giving them and their families the support and care they need. I want to find myself a job that I will look forward to coming to Work, something that will give me new exciting challenges and tasks to meet.
I am very confident person especially when I’m passionate about something.
At Christmas time I set up a charity event and raised lots of money, went out and brought bags and bags full of Christmas gifts for the children who were spending Christmas in Alder Hey.
Overall I feel like I am very suited to this role and would love the opportunity to continue to care for children.
