Sophie, nanny in Chard

Hi I'm Sophie, I am 24 and have worked in nurseries since I was 18. I have worked across all age groups but mainly focused on under 3s. I am a very outgoing and bubbly person and i feel this reflects in my work greatly as i really do love working with children. I believe that being creative is very important for children so I have always made sure that I am thinking of new ways to ensure children have this opportunity when in my care, such as gloop mixed with paint, body painting and showing ways in which to move to music. Through my roles in nurseries I have learnt a lot of makaton and this has seemed vital when working with younger children, this is something that I will continue to work on. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and younger siblings, long country walks, big city adventures, reading and shopping
