Emily, nanny - CM1 Chelmsford

Hi, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile! My name is Emily and I am 20 years old.
I am currently working full-time as a Room Manager and Behaviour Management Coordinator in a Children's Day Nursery in Chelmsford, working within the 1-2 year old room. I have been working for the nursery for the past year and a half, working with all ages from 5 months to 4 years. I also have previous experience of working with older children as before working in the nursery I worked for a 'before, after school and holiday club' for a year and a half. I absolutely love to plan exciting, interactive activities suited to the children's ages that allow them to have heaps of fun, as well as learning whilst they are playing! I am very arty so arts and crafts activities are one of my favourite, where I can set out resources for the children to explore and produce some amazing creative pieces. I also love to cook, especially baking which I have just begun making celebration cakes which I sell. I enjoy getting children involved in this whether it is baking cupcakes and they can help pour ingredient and mix, and then decorate, or if it is helping to cook a yummy, healthy tea!
My job experience has allowed me to realise that childcare is my passion and something I would like to pursue as a career. I feel it is time to move on from working in such a large setting as a nursery and devote my time to a family who feels I would be the right nanny to look after their children.
