My name is Chelsea , and I'm submitting my credentials for your consideration.

From a personal viewpoint I know I am perfectly suited to this role on a number of levels. I am a very positive person who believes in keeping an active lifestyle, helps towards keeping a healthy and progressive mind. I was raised with four older brothers, a vast amount of my pastimes include sports and hiking, during my free time I participate in coaching in youth sport teams. I also am an active participant every year for charity fundraising, I like to get the community involved around me and so far have completed numerous charity runs/activities. One of my more personal interests include reading and educating myself about history and the universe, I spend a lot of my holidays travelling to some of the more cultured places in the world; learning about the history there. In general I am very reliable and very confident in my abilities in all working positions, I hope to find a role that will utilize my strengths and build on my weaknesses. I strongly believe that I have excellent experience working with children. I hope that I can learn a lot from my future experiences.

I am excited to submit my application for the position of Youth Worker advertised. As well as my job with St Clare’s Nursery; where I worked with SENCO, my main experience stems from working at Peconic Dunes Extension of Cornell University, in New York. This camp caters for EBD needs and for this reason I was put through many courses and youth development strategies.

My final position at Peconic Dunes was Unit Leader, in this position I was responsible for 40 campers and their wellness needs. I had to ensure each day to day learning activities were within reach and realistic to each student. Here are some key attributes I attained from this role; Experienced in working 1:1 with children and/or in a group setting aged 2 – 16, Practiced in youth development within an EBD situation. Skillful in developing social and academic skills with all ages. Trained in working with children from an under privileged background. Participates in 1:1 coaching with children who have suffered grief in their life. these are just a handful of the skills I have acquired over the last few years.

Overall I believe my strong work ethic will be an asset to this role. Due to my history I am tremendously confident in my ability to learn quickly and efficiently, every job position I have held has led to promotion with 6 months. I feel through my experience and my positive energy that I would be a great addition to your team.
