Danielle, nanny - CT16 Dover

I am a 21 year old female, I have been working at a nursery for nearly 2 years now and I absolutely love it. I have a NVQ Level 3 qualification, first aid training and other various training that have been able to do through my nursery. I would just like something more hands on with the children as working in a nursery is a lot of paperwork involved and I would love to spend the days with the children planning and carrying out activities (using the EYFS) and helping out around the house. I am currently working 30 hours a week and I am looking for something around 40 or more hours a week. From a very young age I have always loved children and children have always loved being around me. I lived in India for 4 years due to my fathers job and there my mum ran her own nursery, at this time I was between the age of 9 and 13, and even then at every chance I had I would be helping out at the nursery with my mum or even playing and participating in activities with the children. We then moved to South Africa again for my fathers job, where we lived on a complex with lots of families. I was known as the babysitter and babysit for lots of the families varying from new born to 8 years old. At this time I was between the age of 13 and 16 and this is where I realised children is the job for me! My brother and I then moved back to England to attend Dover College as boarders whilst my parents stayed in South Africa for another 2 years. At Dover College I was lucky enough to help out at the Junior School in the early years class at lunchtime and in the playground. I loved creating a bond with the children and seeing what they learnt and achieved each day. During my parents last year in South Africa, between June and July, My brother and I went back to visit our parents. There I was fortunate enough to undertake work experience in two different nurseries with different ages children, focusing on different aspects of learning. I do have references from both if you wish to see. I believe there is no better job for me than being around children, I am just looking for something more personal and more hours. I still live with my parents but I am looking to move out as I am very independent in doing my own washing, cooking etc. I love tidying and organising and would be more than happy to take on house chores.
