Hi, my name is Shannon. I am a 19 year old Primary Education student, currently in my second year at University in London. This means I am a year away from gaining my official degree, as I am still working through the process. I am an avid reader, animal lover and am content to relax indoors or explore outdoors on a walk.
I am looking to gain childcare work over the summer holidays whilst I am on a break from University. I am full flexible in the role that I may hold, for example, I would happily work full time as a nanny if parents or carers are working away from home over the holiday, or I would be content to provide support several times a week. I am perfectly happy to have a discussion of your own requirements and hopes for this professional relationship to see how I can accommodate.
There is the potential that after I have worked with your family over the summer, I could be made available in further breaks, such as other school holidays if required. However due to my university commitments, at the moment I am available to work between July and September, with full flexibility.
I have experience of both babysitting children, working with 30+ in a school environment and also being the eldest of 5 children. From being a teacher in training I have masses of ideas and different effective tools to not only help with school work, but also to improve social skills and behaviour management.
I would love to join a local family to help make their transitions easier over the holidays. I am aware of how difficult it can be for not only the children but also for parents to ensure that their children have a fantastic holiday with someone they trust and I aim to fulfill that role.
Occasional babysitting | $7.50 per hour |
Home nanny | $10.00 per hour |
Completely negotiable - I would ask for an increased rate based on the number of children when babysitting which is open to discussion. If I am babysitting until early hours, I would wish for there to be an agreed increase in fare or the payment of a taxi due to their being no buses that will run at that time.
I would be happy to help before school hours, or working ones, but that would depend on either collection from my own home, or to have a reliable route on public transport, which is fully up for discussion.
