Dear Sir/Madam,
I am interested in working with children and I am CACHE Level 2 Qualified, I would enjoy an apprenticeship opportunity to gain my Level 3. I am enclosing my CV to see if you have any current vacancies for either a Level 3 Apprentice (for which you would receive a £1500 grant) or for a Level 2 qualified nursery practitioner.
As you can see from my CV, I have gained experience in a nursery setting whilst I was achieving my CACHE Level 2 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce. Since the age of 16 I have been looking after family friends’ children for 1 or 2 nights a week. I have grown up with younger siblings so have always been responsible and reliable for looking after them when needed; my youngest sibling being three!
During my studies of childcare, I also took part in and passed a First Aid training course. I learnt about the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection too.
I am confident and enthusiastic when working with children and I am very keen to develop my existing skills.
I would like to be able to discuss my CV and current skills with you further. If you have no suitable vacancies for me at this time, I would appreciate it if you were to keep my CV on file and consider me if a suitable vacancy becomes available.
Thank you for your consideration, I hope to hear from you soon.
Personal Statement
I am described by colleagues as a reliable perfectionist; generous and gregarious, with a natural leaning towards giving time for people. I believe that I am a resourceful individual with some excellent customer service skills and experience, along with qualifications in childcare. I am seeking a role as an Apprentice or as a Level 2 Assistant.
I am confident and enthusiastic when working with and around children. I hold 6+ months experience in a nursery setting as well as years’ of caring for younger siblings.
I am a natural team player, with a keen willingness to go the ‘extra mile’. I am helpful and polite, conducting myself in a professional manner at all times. I believe I have a positive attitude both within and outside the workplace. As well as enjoying working on my own, I also thrive off the added challenge of working in a high-pressure environment, especially as part of a team.
The ethos of loyalty, hard work and honesty has always been very important to me. I understand the need to be both pro-active and adaptable in the work place. Following my most recent work experience, I seek to marry that experience with my qualifications, to a role within my chosen career path of childcare.
