My name is Chloe, I have recently achieved my HNC Early Education and Childcare qualification. I have had the experience of working with children throughout placement at college. During the NC course I was placed within a nursery with children ages 3-5 years, where my duties would include; preparing activities on a daily basis, tidying and preparing the setting at the start and end of each day and feed the children from the baby room. I followed the curriculum for excellence while preparing activities. The sort of activities that I carried out involved; reading books, science activities e.g. water to ice, making play dough, making gloop e.g. these activities helped with promoting turn taking. During my HNC course I was placed within a primary school with children ages 5years. During my time here I would also prepare activities for the children to meet their developmental needs. I would assist in planning and carrying out experiences. Activities include; maths games e.g. dice and counting. Use of a story sack, reading to the children, making paper mache, use of 'jolly phonics' helping the children recognise sounds to pronounce words, having the children to read to me to help with words and sentences. Throughout my course we covered a health awareness project e.g. making soap with the children and talking about the importance of washing our hands. My qualities as a child carer include being an enthusiastic and motivated individual who likes to be imaginative and think outside the box when it comes to planning activities. Being a trustworthy individual who can form good relationships with adults and children helping them both to be able to trust me and come to me with their thoughts and how they are feeling. I am also very friendly, honest, trustworthy and caring.
Occasional babysitting | $7.50 per hour |
I would charge this as I believe this is the equivalent to which an early years practitioner would receive.
