Hi, my name is Catherine, I am 48years old married with a 21year old son, 16year old daughter and I have 2 small dogs. I have my own car and have a clean driving licence. Currently I am working as a coordinator for a care company but in my heart I feel this is not the type of work suitable for me. Previous to my job I was a registered childminder for 8years looking after children in my own home. I was registered to care for up to 7 children at the one time, I provided full-time care, before and after school care, school drop offs and pick ups. When I was registered with scma I attended various courses, first aid, child protection, health and safety, healthy eating for children, tooth brushing. I attended various groups with the children who I cared for during the day also visits to parks, soft play. I gave up childminding in my own home as it began to interfere with my home life as my own children getting older didn't like having the younger children in the house anymore. Looking after children is not just a job to me, building up a relationship and gaining your trust with the children is so important. I would say I am fun, friendly, reliable and very trustworthy.
