My name is Karen, I am 47 years old. I have a son and have a daughter of my own, aged 18 and 20. I was a nanny for a long time for a teacher and really loved this. The teacher got the opportunity of moving to London and wanted me to travel down with them and be their nanny there, but I have family in the North East so preferred to stay at home. I was previously a Registered child minder for quite a few years. I am at present a home care worker for the elderly and disabled. I have foster care support experience, caring for the children of foster carers, providing respite. I am happy to look after children in their own home, and would charge £7.00 per hour I have a DBS check available to view on meeting. I have really enjoyed being able to look after children, and really want to go back to doing this kind of work. I feel being in their own home, children are happier. I love to read stories, and paint- all the things that children love to do. I keep any routines that parents have and have many years experience.
