My name is Bethany, I am 18 years old. I have been looking after children within my family since i was 11 years old. When i got to age 15 i realised that looking after children was what i wanted to do as a career. I then went to college and completed my level 3 diploma in childcare. During my time at college i was doing placement in lots of different schools and nurserys and also got a job in an after school club, from that i went on to working in a few different schools with special needs children. I can play a lot of games that young children would like to play, for example a catching game, football, mums and dads and also i really enjoy planning arts and crafts activities. In all my placements i had to plan lots of activities and help children with daily tasks within the school and also changed nappies and fed the children. I have a full DBS and certificates from college and also a certificate for my first aid. I also have a little brother that i often help with home work. i have a full UK driving liscence and i am also able to take children for days out if wanted.

I employed Bethany as a relief play worker after she proved herself whilst doing voluntary work for us. I have known Bethany for around ten years. Bethany is a natural with children, they all loved her. She is able to take charge and control the room. She is particularly skilled at planning and organising games and activities. The only reason I have not given Bethany five stars is because she is very young and as such is still learning, developing and growing as a child carer. She does however take direction well and is very willing to take advice and learn from those around her. She is an excellent team member and shows impressive initiative for one so young.
