Lucy, nanny - DN14 Kellington

Hi,

My name is Lucy , I am 25 years of age. I have just got back from travelling South East Asia and Australia, I left the UK in October 2014 and arrived back in April 2016. Whilst away travelling I have worked an au pair role lasting six months with a family in Australia and I also taught English to children at school in Vietnam.

Whilst in Australia along with being an au pair I also worked in various nursery roles looking after pre-school children, planning activities, ensuring all children's social, emotional and behavioural developments were developing at the appropriate rates according to the EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework).

Before going travelling I attended University studying Early Years and Education (2010-2013). Here, I attended various placements in primary schools and nurseries learning and adapting my skills and testing the knowledge taught to me at University. On completion at University I worked at a highly respected nursery in Leeds for 14 months, before leaving to go travelling, where I worked my way up to Senior Nursery Nurse.
