Ally, nanny - EH11 Edinburgh

I am an experienced teacher, nursery practitioner and nanny, who has lived and worked in the south of Edinburgh for 5 years. I have been working most recently as a preschool teacher/nursery practitioner for the past four and a half years. Prior to this, I was a nanny for three years and taught in schools for two years. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a nanny and am seeking a family with whom I will be able to share my love of teaching & learning, as well as indoor & outdoor, child-led play.

I have worked with children of many different ages during my time as a teacher and as a nanny. Most recently, my employment has provided me with an opportunity to work with children aged three to five years old, as well as spending some time with babies as young as 9/10 months old. I have almost ten years of experience as a teacher, practitioner and nanny of working with children from the age of 18 months up to the age of five, as well as tutoring children up to the age of eleven. I feel I have a very good understanding of children’s needs, and what is required to help children flourish, at the same time as being able to encourage manners, courteousness and an ability to follow rules.

I am seeking to find a family with similar interests and ideals. In my spare time, I love to sing and currently take singing lessons - I am looking to join a choir if you know of one! I also love swimming, being outdoors in nature and most especially spending time with my pet dog, Beau. I enjoy reading for pleasure and love reading stories and poems to children, often using silly voices to engage them!
