I am 22 and I have just graduated from the University of Birmingham with an English Literature degree. I am organised, hard-working and sporty! I enjoy playing a range of sports such as tennis, netball and cricket, and I am a keen runner. I love cooking and being creative, with drawing and painting being key hobbies of mine. I live fifteen minutes outside of Winchester and have access to a car.
I have been a nanny/carer since the age of 17. Whilst at college I was a carer for three women with learning disabilities and Down Syndrome. This job was demanding, as it was difficult at times and required a frequent use of initiative and patience, but I thoroughly enjoyed the role. When I returned from my gap year I became a nanny for two children, a girl aged 11 and a boy aged 9, and later I became a nanny to three boys aged 15, 13 and 10. I have been a nanny throughout university holidays and over the summer. My duties have involved the pre-school and after school run, helping with homework, cooking supper, household chores, walking the dog, and then in the school holidays I have been on outings and supervised at home for days as long as 13 hours. My role in looking after these children has taught me valuable skills; driving me to be enthusiastic, motivated and creative, whilst being fair, understanding and disciplined where necessary.
Partial / after-school care | $10.00 per hour |
In my previous jobs I have been paid between £10 and £12 an hour and therefore this is how I have set my requirements.
