Hello there!
I hope this cover letter finds you well. I wanted to share some information about me and my experiences thus far. I am originally from Leamington Spa, Warwickshire where my family still lives and began studying childcare at the age of 16 choosing to take this path rather than sixth form as I knew I wanted to work with children so therefore felt like the most direct route into the field. I completed my Level 3 Children’s Play Learning and Development at Warwickshire College, and when applying for universities I was offered and accepted a place at Norland College where I went on to study for 3 years. I have been very privileged to experience a wide range of different placements with children of different ages and stages, really enjoying my time in a special needs school, sparking my topic of my dissertation ‘Research into the effects of hydrotherapy on children with special educational needs and disabilities’. During university holiday times, I have worked with a family returning to the UK each school break. I have absolutely loved making their return home to the UK enjoyable and have worked with anywhere between 2 to 7 of the children in the family, each getting to know each individual child well and loving the time we spend together. Currently, I am completing my Newly Qualified Year in London working with two charges and enjoying running a busy but fun schedule for the children in my care. During the working week, I enjoy preparing healthy balanced meals and fun and engaging activities age and stage appropriate to the children’s current ages and stages. During the weekends I love to socialise, see friends and family and enjoy long walks, theatre trips and reading.
I hope this letter gives a little insight into me and my experiences to date.
