Presentation

Hi, my name is Lorraine.
I have worked in childcare for many years. Both as a private nanny and as a childminder (when my own son was born).
I was given outstanding from Ofsted.
We moved to Devon from London 5 years ago for a more rural way of life.
I love my job as I like to see the Children’s progress in their learning and development, and plan an aspiring day at every oportunity.
I keep parents notified about their childs progress and well-being at all times.
I understand childrens differing needs and promote inclusion to make children feel secure and confident.
I take them on frequent outings to places of interest in the local community to stimulate and inspire them to learn about the world.
I am a kind, caring and reliable person and can adapt to suit all parents needs.
I have experience of all ages from new born to teenager, and I'm Ofsted registered, and hold Nanny insurance.
I'm looking for a long term commitment.
I work Wednesday and Thursdays full days so I am looking for a second family to work with this. I am happy to travel up to an hour for the right family.
I love cooking, gardening and craft.
I am also a qualified teaching assistant so can help with children’s reading, writing etc.

Lorraine was a childminder to my daughter for 3 years (from 7 months old when I returned to full time work). If I could give more than 5 stars I would in a heart beat. Lorraine's childcare met and completely surpassed our expectations, her care and support was exemplary to both our daughters' needs and ours as parents. She became an extension of our family and worked with us throughout all milestones (weaning, walking, potty training, reading, writing) respecting our choices and advising where necessary. My daughter's days were always filled with activities, outdoor adventures and stimulating/educational projects, and more importantly, I knew she was safe and happy. I am devastated that, due to relocation, Lorraine is unable to mind our youngest daughter (and we are unable to continue to see her on a regular basis as a friend!). I am struggling to source a childminder of the same calibre as her. I cannot find one reason not to recommend Lorraine, you won't find a better qualified person to look after your children.

She worked as a full time Nanny to my 3 extremely lively boys. The boys' father had left the home and I had to return to work. She was (and is) extremely capable and kind and I could not recommend a nicer person. I am happy to say that we have remained in contact. If she has any flaws then I am certainly unaware of them.
