Muirenn, nanny - EX2 Exeter

Hello!
my name is Muirenn and I am a 20 year old actress looking for childcare work in between acting jobs (which, unfortunately are not very regular). I have experience babysitting for my own two siblings (I am an oldest child) with a five year age gap between each of us, and also for family friends regularly during my teens. I have experience as an au pair in Rome, where I stayed for 3 months looking after a 9 year old girl. During this time I played with her when her parents were busy and also overlooked and helped her out with homework and also made sure she was all ready for bed and in bed on time.
After this I worked as an au pair for a distant relative in New Jersey during the summer holidays, where I was responsible for looking after and entertaining their three children (ages 11, 7 and 7) during the weekdays whilst their parents were at work. As a childminder I try to discourage children from playing on phones, video games or just watching TV, preferring instead to encourage them to engage with creative activities. I am happy to walk to the local park for them to play and be active, as well as encourage them to draw, paint, colour, do puzzles, collages and write stories. I also trained in ballet, tap dance and jazz growing up, so if any children that I look after love to dance then I will happily practice with them and make up dance routines and plays if they want. Although I am no five star chef, I will be able to cook and prepare light, healthy meals if needed. When it comes to homework I will be firm but fair in making sure it is done and they remain focussed and am also happy to assist in any tasks where they may need a little help. With bedtime I will makes sure they stick to a routine and are not in bed late. With younger children that need help I will make sure their teeth are brushed and they have had a bath and are ready for bed. As an actress and creative person I absolutely love to finish the day by reading a story to little ones before it is time to go to sleep.
