Sharn, nanny in Fareham PO16

Hello, my name's Sharn, I'm eighteen and I live in Stubbington Village. I've decided to take up babysitting and part/full time childcare after spending a lot of time working around/interacting with our customers children in the local coffee shop I worked for. I will always be a child at heart; I'm a very bubbly, compassionate and creative girl - and there's no better excuse to act like a child than when you're with children of course!
From my early teenage years, I helped to look after my younger brother and five cousins from their births to ages varying between 5-8. I loved every moment of the experience; a child's character never fails to fill the room with warmth and laughter.The activities we did varied, depending upon age suitability, from arts and crafts like finger and sponge painting, colouring and gluing, card games like snap, slapjack and memory, watching movies and going to play parks. We had homework sessions on some occasions, or project work to do for groups like cubs and beavers.
I have the patience, empathy and awareness needed when around children and so I've decided to use my experiences to start developing a career in babysitting and childcare.
Being a childminder ultimately means that I become a part of that child's development as a nurturer and caregiver, tending to their day-to-day needs, providing educational and entertaining activities, preparing and serving food when necessary, completing household tasks and maintaining the safety and wellbeing of the child(s) and myself during hours of supervision.

Although I am currently unqualified it is my intention to gain the following certification:
Baby and Child First Aid
Paediatric First Aid
Level 2 Childcare
I aim to work towards these throughout the next two/three years whilst continuing to gain more experience in working with, and providing care for, children.
