Stephanie, nanny - FY5 Trunnah

I am a 61 year old who is really active and look after myself. I love teaching and playing games with children. I did the "SKILLS TO FOSTER" course as I really miss being a mother, but decided I wasn't really ready for that kind of 24/7 commitment.

I am an American who has lived on the Fylde coast for over 40 years. I have a clean driving licence and my own car. I have worked in different retail positions from M&S to a busy pharmacy, so I have commonsense and heathcare experiance. I have no comitments as I am a widow whose two daughters and two step-daughters don't live nearby.

I look after my daughter's foster children so she and her wife can go on weekends away or take their adopted daughter to visit her grand-parents. I love to take them to the pictures or a play area. In the summer we have good fun on the nearby park. Sometimes I just go visit them as I miss them and then we usually all go for a nice meal.

I think I did a great job bringing up my girls. They both have wonderful qualifications, own their own homes and have fabulous careers. They have never smoked and are family orientated. I've always told them, "There's nothing more important than family."
I kept my step-daughters close to their half sisters as much as possible and they have good relationships today.

Since my husband's death in 2014, my little Cocker has been my best buddy. I get up early and take her on the beach. She goes practically everywhere with me, but she has a pal on our street who loves her like I do, so looks forward to doing some doggy sitting if I go out for the day or stay at my daughter's over night.

I used to sew alot, but now my machine only comes out for mending. I love gardening and planting pots up in the spring. I even enjoy mowing the lawn.

I hope you will consider me to play a small part in bringing up your children in they way in which you would like.
