Rose, nanny in Gateshead

My Name is Rose and I am 18 years old, turning 19 in November of 2016. I have 3 years experience regularly babysitting for the three children of a family friend who is a registered childminder, the children are now aged 5, 7 and 10. Caring for these children has inspired me to become a nanny as I realised that I not only find working with children thoroughly enjoyable but also that it comes very naturally to me. I feel it is important for children to be engaged in age appropriate activities which will promote their development while also enabling them to have fun. I also feel it is important for children to have a routine for example the time leading up to bed in which they can enjoy calm activities.
I have completed a health and social care course during my A levels. I have completed baby and paediatric first aid course and am competent in many emergency situations. I have also completed work experience at the Queen Elizabeth hospital which gave me the opportunity to work on the special care baby unit, providing care to the babies such as feeding and changing.
