Olivia, nanny in Gedling NG4

My name is Olivia , I am 16 years of age. I love looking after children and babysit for friends and family, and have been doing this for 2 years. The children I look after range from 6 months to 3 years. I am currently in a childcare course at college but would love to be a nanny or a babysitter as i have discovered working in a nursery is not something I would like to progress with. I am willing to leave the course if families need me during the day. Although I am young I believe I will bring energy to the job and have had lots of experience with children. I like to have fun and seeing a smile on children faces. I love to sing which i believe plays a big part in children's learning. Children learn a lot from singing songs which i have learnt from my experience in a nursery. Being part of children's development and observing them learning, is very rewarding and being a part of that is my favorite part of looking after children. In order to achieve this I create games which will teach children colours, shapes, numeracy and literacy skills and how to read and write depending on the child's age.
