I'm an 18 year old woman who is looking to start a career in childcare. Since being a child myself, I have been raising my younger sibling and have always adored it. Since the last 2 years of meeting my partners family, I have realised how much I enjoy looking after children and spending time with them. During the last two years I have had experience with children from new-borns to 8 years old and I've been looking after them weekly. I'm efficient, punctual and very caring. Despite my young age I live a mature lifestyle, working full time at Costa Coffee which has given me multi tasking skills and experience of working under pressure. I have a good understanding of health and safety and assessing risk. I'm also a part-time qualified masseur working from home, which has taught me a lot about caring and being person focussed. My family have fostered a young boy for 5 years who is severely autistic and this has given me experience of looking after a child who requires a lot of time and care. I have a great relationship with him and consider him to be part of the family. I am interested in helping a family as much as I can, and being able to build relationships with the children and parents. Finally although I have not studied childcare I feel I have a good understanding of child development.
I'm also fluent in Greek from having spent the first 7 years of my life living in Greece.
