Bryony, nanny - HU5 Hull

My name is Bryony and I am 23 years old. Being the second child in a family of six children, I have had great experience of looking after babies, toddlers and older children, doing everything from changing nappies and preparing milk bottles to cooking meals and helping with homework.
On a personal level, I have many interests and hobbies. I love all forms of art, especially drawing and painting. I love sport and exercise, and have practised kickboxing and squash, aside from regularly cycling and running. I played the piano up to grade 5, and now just play for fun, and enjoy listening to music. I can speak Spanish, and also some French and Chinese. I love travelling, and spent over a year in Argentina as a volunteer on a Christian mission base. I also love cooking and baking.
I taught for several months in a primary and secondary school, and saw how important it was to incorporate all of these different skills and hobbies into my classes. I believe it is so important for children to be able to develop creatively in all areas.
My previous work in a care home helped me to develop my efficiency, attention to detail and health and safety awareness. Although I was working with adult residents, I believe the same principals of care apply, and many of the skills and attitudes are transferable.
Aside from my experience and qualities, I have always been very passionate about childcare, and I see caring for children as one of the most important jobs there is.
I am very willing, and I am ready to help in whatever way I can.
