Hi there, my name is Susie and I am 31 years old. I am originally from Livingston, West Lothian but I have lived in Aberdeen now for around 8 years. I came here to go to university and I ended up finding work in the Oil & Gas industry. I was recently made redundant and I am returning to study in September at SRUC to become a Veterinary Nurse. I am looking to provide childcare as a means of supporting my studies and because I love children. I have a lot of experience in looking after my much younger siblings, nephews and most recently my great nephew Oliver who has just turned 3! I am patient, caring and attentive and I believe in listening to children and allowing them to be creative and have fun. I also understand the importance of routine and structure and incorporate this into my child care (meal times, bed times, activities etc). I have a well rounded education and I would be proficient in helping with homework, primary & secondary. I also encourage arts and music as leisure activities as I feel this is a great way for kids to express themselves. I enjoy promoting exercise in a fun way (rounders, tag, hide and seek, football etc) and find this helps burn off excess energy and helps children to stay active and healthy whilst having fun.

I can provide references from previous people I have provided childcare for and I am willing to spend a trial day with families to get to know one another.

Each family is unique and I am flexible with requirements and can usually accommodate most requests, including pet care.
