My name is Melissa

I am a Fully qualified Nursery Assistant/Babysitter/Nanny.
I am honest, reliable, organised, punctual & very understanding to parents/carers childcare needs and requirements.

I enjoy all aspects of being with children. I plan activities relating to the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and to enhance your own children development.
I can provide a safe, secure, caring and stimulating fun home environment, where your child can learn and develop, using a large range of equipment and recourses

I have been working with children for 6 years now I have also worked in Spain (Barcelona) in a Spanish school teaching English and as a Nanny with a few different Spanish families.
I enjoy working with others and feel that I am capable of fitting in well in a variety of working environments. I am very motivated and confidant in my abilities to perform well in my job role. I really enjoy working with children and watching them learn and develop new skills everyday.

My Experience

( Barcelona) (Spanish Family)
Full Time Daytime Nanny
I worked for a middle aged Spanish family who had twins, I started working with the family when the twins were just 4
months old. I stimulated the twins using activities that I had learnt from my childcare course and experience. I had
previously worked with babies in England so I really enjoyed working with this family and seeing the differences
between the different cultures. I enjoyed caring for the twins, watching the twins grow up, learning, exploring and
develop new skills every day.

Nursery Nurse
I attended Happy Hearts as a full time Nursery assistant whilst I was studying for my childcare qualifications. I worked
with ages 0 - 4 years old. I really enjoyed being able to work with a lovely team of staff and lovely
children. The role of my job was to look after the children during the day and make sure they had lots of fun but at
the same time were learning in a safe environment. Some of the activities that I planned for the children were: Basic
English and Maths Games, Outdoor sand play, gloop, Painting, Music and singing time.

Nursery Assistant
I attended Montessori as a Full- time Nursery Assistant for the Baby Room, The babies I worked with were from 0- 12
months old. I really enjoyed helping and teaching the babies to develop and grow. I learnt a lot of good skills,
gained some valuable knowledgeable and creative experiences as Montessori set out a different way of learning
for children compared with a public nursery.
