My most recent role – Sales Manager Events, Edinburgh Castle, came to an end after 10 years in early March this year due to voluntary redundancy as a result of restructure. From my time leading the events team on site I have a sound understanding of the intricacies involved in the unique environment operating at a 5 star grading level, and getting the job done in a very hands-on approach with whatever challenges the day brought.
The reason I made the decision to leave was to ideally remain in the hospitality / service industry, and exploring new options available to me within a different setting, whilst using my commitment, reliability, people & service skills.
I am not working or on furlough, with skills & family attributes I know could be put back into use in a variety settings. Be that for a short term vacancy or for a vacancy with a starting point that can lead to an ongoing role with longevity and commitment.
Representing Edinburgh Castle for over 10 years was something to be proud and passionate about in terms of the trust, expected standard, and always wanting to exceed this, with that 'going the extra mile' delivery ethos.
I was Disclosure Scotland approved for my role at Edinburgh Castle, and have my own car with a full clean UK driving license, and happy to commute to work.
Recently, I have signed up to start an online Introduction to British Sign Language course.
