Hello, I’m a 27 year old from Perth and I have just come back to Scotland after working and travelling in Canada for nearly the last 2 years. I absolutely loved my experience there but being on a temporary visa, it was time to come home. My trip really opened up a new passion for the outdoors for me, I love being outside and going for walks. It’s such a lovely way to explore new places!
I have a relatively small family who I love to spend my spare time with, especially after my nephew was born last year.
Most recently I worked for 8 months as a part time nanny for a family in Canada with 1 year old twins. The job involved sole charged and shared care of the children, preparing snacks and meals, going for walks, reading and playing, changing diapers and helping the parents maintain their routine.
While in Canada I also volunteered at an alpaca farm and the owners had two children aged 1 and 3. So part of my role involved sole care of both children and sometimes this would be alongside farm work outside. We all loved being around the animals so it was always lots of fun!
I lived with my sister and her husband when they had their son, so I helped with caring for him from the day he was born.
I previously worked as an au pair for two families over 7 months in Spain, with an age range of 5 months to 6 years old. It was a great experience, and where I learnt a lot about children and their needs.
