Shannon, nanny in Grays RM17

Hello!

My name is Shannon, and I am a University of Derby graduate. I am Level 6 qualified in childcare as well as first aid training. I have nine months of experience as a nursery nurse local to my home, however this job recently came to an end for personal reasons. I am looking for a new challenge and feel that staying in childcare is what I want.

Prior to attending university, I gained a level 3 qualification in BTEC Children’s Care, Learning and Development at South Essex College which certifies me with the knowledge of children’s development and creativity from 0 through 8 years of age. This learning has been continued throughout three years of my degree, and I have the intention of continuing it with employment, experience and shared education with the next generation. With two educational courses under my belt, I have had four work placements in both nurseries and schools, assisting the Early Years Practitioners with every day activities in routines and the delivery of play, creativity and the curriculum. I furthered this experienced by working in a nursery for nine months, working cohesively as a team and forming special relationships with my specific key children and their parents.

References are available upon request, and will be provided by my previous employer and a family friend that allowed me to babysit for her two children over the past seven years.
