Tessa, nanny in Halifax HX1

I am a very enthusiastic individual who has a genuine passion for working with children. I have gained exceptional knowledge and skills through my years of employment. I can thrive in busy environments but am also able to use my initiative and creativity skills to work individually. From a young age I have had a passion for working with children and I secured a job in a preparatory school not long after leaving education.

I began working at The Gleddings Preparatory School in 2005 as an apprentice and progressed through many different positions right up to management level. The Gleddings is ranked in the top 50 Independent Preparatory Schools for the ninth year in a row and is a member of IAPS (the top 500 Independent Preparatory Schools)

More recently I have been looking after a young boy (1yo), working alongside parents to ensure and provide all aspects of child development, being solely responsible for the child's well being when parents were absent. Getting child ready for nursery and liasing with nursery staff with any necessary information.

I have gained experience working a summer season as a 'Head Nanny' for a very popular holiday provider. Planning both indoor and outdoor activities for children birth-17years and organising a staff of 9

I have also worked in New York for 3 months when I was 17 caring for a young child of 18months.

I am currently looking for a new challenge and would consider a wide range of positions.
