I am a very happy and kind person. I love to make people smile because it gives me fulfilment. My friends and employers have said that I am very easy-going and I am a team-player. I would say I am very caring and supportive of other people. If I am ever feeling down, I won't let it get in the way of my work. Working helps me to just focus on the job and I find it therapeutic.
My most recent employment was at Artemis Nursery. The nursery holds children as young as 3 months old up until 5 years old. I was based in the Pre-school room and the ages in that classroom are 3-5. I worked with two other people in the classroom. Each room in the nursery has different roles that we took on each week. The roles are Toilet/Floater, Garden and Main Focus. Doing all three roles shows commitment, patience, determination, reliability, creativity and initiative. They are all shown because we had to toilet train children, repeat most things to implement them, go out into the garden in all weather conditions, make sure children are always safe by regularly reading and following the policies and mentally risk assessing situations, making quick decisions, planning new and different activities so the children stay engaged and making sure they were still learning from it without being forced to because we Artemis is a free-learning nursery. I understood that it was a big responsibility to look after a parent's child and I was doing it for a long time so I can be trusted. Caring for children is a passion of mine and I love seeing them develop and learn. Being around children is so fulfilling and refreshing because everything is new to them so it never gets boring!
I have babysat for a few families from the nursery I used to work at and some of them I have been babysitting for throughout the summer this year. It was lovely and I made an even closer bond with the children and the parents. The parents really trusted in me which was nice for me to know. I always made the most of the time I spent with the children by playing hide and seek, baking cakes, having a picnic in the park and throwing some pebbles into the sea.
I would love to get to know your family. I hope you consider me, thank you.
Occasional babysitting | $7.50 per hour |
Home nanny | $10.00 per hour |
I raised the price per hour for the the full time care because it would require me to work more hours and possibly stay overnight.
