Hi, I'm Katie, a 23-year-old living in Hove. I love being outdoors; animals (in particular dogs), craft activities, baking and most importantly children!

I have been working at a nursery in Brighton since August 2016, whilst completing my Level 3'Early Years Educator NVQ. I have learnt so many invaluable skills and approaches over my time at the setting, but I have decided that I would like to try a different childcare role. During my time at the setting I have worked with children between the ages 14 to 28 months, but have also spent time with other ages in the nursery. I absolutely love being able to provide new and exciting opportunities for the children in my care, and supporting them through their experiences.

Training courses:
I have recently attended a training course at Brighton Town Hall on ‘Promoting Positive Behaviour’. The course expanded on my prior knowledge by providing different approaches to help children overcome unwanted behaviours, which are appropriate to their stage of development.
I am paediatric First Aid Trained, which is valid until November 2019.
