Alina, nanny in Ipswich

Dear Family,
My name is Alina (Alice). I am a 48 Romanian women, graduated in economics and business.
I come from a family with three children, me and my two brothers: Radu – one year smaller than me and Michael – one year older than me. Because we are so very close in age, we always were very close-knit, not just for play and fun but also for help and support.
My parents: Olimpia and Petre (both 74 year-old), are retired and now they have time to dedicate to their passions (my mom paints and my dad is a writer). They have a youthful spirit, wisdom and humor and for that I love to live with them even I have my one apartment in a larger city. With my mom I often go to skiing in the winter or to swim while with my dad I like to go shopping, philosophizing about everything that happens in our "small" world.
My first language is, of course, Romanian, but I’m also fluent in Italian. I started learning Italian 16 years ago, when I went in Italy for work. My very best teachers were two small children for which I was the nanny.
I speak an intermediate level of English. I had begun learning it when I was a teenager by listening to the music of the Beatles and Elvis Presley. After I graduated, I have been taking some English language classes.
In elementary and middle schools I studied French. Although so much time has passed by, I’m still capable to speak, if necessary.
When it comes to child care experience, I have looked after children since I was a teen-ager. I looked after my two little cousins and I have helped my parents looking after my brothers even though I was younger than one. Also my mom's friends were always asking me to babysit for their kids because I was very mature and responsible.
As an adult, I have worked for almost three and a half years as a nanny. I had to look after two children, a boy –Gio of 5 and a girl – Nancy of 9. Their mother died of a serious illness and the children have had major emotional and behavioural problems. They didn’t know how to play and they had not a normal life program. With me they have gained self-confidence, they have learned to interact with other children, they had begun to stay focused on their school work, they learned to swim, to dance... I had accompanied them to school, church, basketball or any other after-school activity. At the same time, I was doing all the duties of a housekeeper: cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, dusting, hovering...
For a short period of time, I was babysitter for a mentally disabled child, Michele – 9 year-old. He was a very sensible and affectionate child. I watched him when his parents were not at home. I was careful to not get hurt, I played with him, I fed him, I bathed him.
For another year, I was babysitter for a newborn baby. I held him in my arms for the first day of his life. Simultaneously, I was housekeeper for a very big family: 3 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 children (married), and 3 grandchildren. In fact, I had to manage an entire building and to cook too.
The last year , I was nanny for two boys: 2 and 6 year-old. I help them with the school, I organize for them and took part in recreational indoor and outdoor activities: we sing, dance, play games, I taught them to ride the scooter and the bike. We also go out on picnics and short trips, to the pool or to the sea to swim.
When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in the simple things in life. I enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends, going for walks, visiting new places, meeting new people and reading a good book. I also love cycling and skiing.
