Katherine, nanny in Llanelli

I am a 26 year old female with a full clean driving licence held for 8 years, own vehicle with car seats to fit ages 9 months to 12 years. I enjoy photography, animals, cooking and baking, exploring new things, arts and crafts and being outdoors, travelling to new places, cultural experiences and am very fond of camping and outdoor survival. I like to be organised and prepared for all situations and carry a first aid kit and games and activities in the car at all times along with children's story cd's and nursery rhymes. I spend lots of time around children and enjoy playing and interacting with them. I have 2 pet cats and a cavalier king charles spaniel puppy called Izzy. My puppy comes to work with me so this would be something families would need to be comfortable with. Izzy was born in June 2015 and is full of energy, well trained and very friendly. She is great with children of all ages and loves to be with people.

I hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, Business Car Insurance, Public Liability Insurance, Ofsted Registration and CSSIW Registration is in progress. I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate (with update service) and have completed my common core skills and knowledge training and recently my postnatal maternity care award at level 3 along with a short course in baby massage.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my godchildren, taking them on day trips or even just to the park, we enjoy having picnics with our teddy's or exploring in the woods, finding bugs and animals and building dens, they enjoy dressing up and experimenting with different crafts and games. We are always looking for new experiences and learning opportunities.

I am passionate about children learning and developing creativity by exploring new surroundings. I like to get messy and be outdoors regardless of the weather. If it's raining we simply put on wellies and waterproofs and off we go to splash in the puddles. I prefer to be active and play with them than watch TV or play on computers. I believe in home cooking and don't mind cooking from scratch or making up a picnic for a fun day at the park.

I like to make sure children are safe and well behaved so am happy to use whichever discipline method you are using as well as encouraging the use of please and thank you, road safety, stranger safety, internet safety and public safety and awareness in everyday situations.

I have had experience working in several childcare environments including a private nursery, Public nursery, live out nanny, mothers help and babysitting.

I have experience caring for children from newborn to 8 years old mostly but am comfortable with older children to. I have experience with school drop offs and pick ups as well as overnight care, proxy parent, and general daily routines including naps, meals, bathtimes, clubs and playdates and providing fun and engaging activities.

I am looking for full time employment. I currently live in Surrey but am relocating to Llanelli this year as soon as employment is secured. I would require 8 weeks notice for my current family as I want to allow enough time for them to find a suitable replacement.
