Hello I'm a mother of two girls 10 & 14 I'm an experienced and qualified early years practitioner with an extensive knowledge of early childhood development and the skills needed to look after groups of children to the highest possible standard. I'm very intuitive and care persons. Looking for a position as an early years practitioner in an established and reputable organisation.
Using understanding of child development to plan and lead activities for the 2-5 age group. Work together with parents and colleagues to ensure best practice is constantly delivered. Excellent communication and listening skills. Genuine love of children and sensitivity to their unique needs. Maintain records in full compliance with OFSTED requirements. Experienced at looking after children with SEND – Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Assist in the responsibility of drawing up the long term, medium term and sessional curriculum plans, which ensure that each child is working towards early learning outcomes help monitor the effectiveness of the pre-school curriculum. Provide a high quality of teaching, ensuring that staff are properly deployed and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children. Act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met, implement systems of observation and record-keeping so that children’s attainment and progress are regularly assessed, to help monitor the effectiveness of assessment procedures, ensure records are properly maintained, eg daily attendance register, accident and incident book. Advise the pre-school leader of any concerns e.g. over children, child protection, parents/carers or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary and awareness of any special needs child may have and to familiarise oneself with relevant play and learning plans.
